Is This the Most Annoying Commercial in History?

Is This the Most Annoying Commercial in History? By Ezra Dyer In a recent ESPN column, Bill Simmons exonerates excoriates Toyota for its relentless “Saved By Zero” ad campaign, writing that it will soon cause him to buy a Toyota and then steer it back through the front window of the dealership while screaming “Saved by zero!” This got me thinking about legendarily annoying ads, and where Toyota’s “Saved By Zero” campaign ranks in the hierarchy of bad commercials. In my view, “Saved by Z

Astro-Medicine, Doctors, Patients and Horoscopes

By Rachel Madorsky Since the times of Babylon and Egypt, Jews have kept knowledge of astrology in their confidential doctrines. Astrology in the Middle Ages re-blossomed due, in big part, to the works of the Jewish scientists of the Alexandria School. Many works on astrology have been deeply penetrated by the Jewish mysticism. Thus, astrology, once again, was presented to Medieval Europe. Faculties of astrology have been founded at universities in Cordoba and Toledo, in which students from e

It has a great French restaurant, La Bourgogne, terrific spa, and a great location right next to hustling, bustling Recoleta.I arrived on a Sunday when the market was open and

Montevideo Times

I’ve been in Montevideo, Uruguay for a week now.  This is a smaller South American capital - some 1.7 million people.   I am here to live for awhile, to figure out the people, and most importantly to decide if I like what the city has to offer.    A few years ago, for three months, I traveled around Argentina and felt as though I somewhat understood their way of life (from a Gringo mentality at least…which probably doesn’t say too much?).  I expected the Montevideo culture to be very similar.
